VP of Engineering


Geoffrey (Geoff) Kennedy brings over 32 years of experience in Track Design, Track Construction, and Asset Management for freight and train operating companies. As a registered engineer in both the US and UK, Geoff has worked on large rail infrastructure and system schemes, including new rail projects, track realignments, and infrastructure renewals to enhance route alignment. Throughout his career, Geoff has held roles as a Professional Track & Operations Maintenance Engineer, leading operational strategies for maintenance, renewals, and depot enhancements to improve train performance. He has served as an Operations Consultant for various light rail clients, including Sound Transit, Dubai Metro, and Edinburgh Tram, advising on transportation, quality assurance, and procurement. Geoff has successfully led multidisciplinary teams in the US, UK, and India as Professional Head of Discipline (Track Engineering). He is a Fellow of the Permanent Way Institution and the Institution of Highways & Transportation. Geoff has also served as an Honorary Visiting Lecturer at University College London (UCL), Imperial College, and Warwick University, teaching track design, operations, and construction for conventional and high-speed rail.
